Well, the news which hit the newspapers today was, Bangal Govt.'s inability to provide land for this huge project. Initially, the Govt. declares to set TATA NANO project in Bangal and also they assured to provide enough land for the Project, but the protests and dharans being staged by the farmers in Bangal are showing something controversial. So, after considering the situations, Mr. Ratan Tata, Charmian of Tata Group has given an ultimatum to take the project outside of Bangal.
So, if it happens, then, Punjab may be the next state to have this project. During the rule of Congress, the above proposal was made to Mr. Ratan Tata and Punjab Govt. promised to provide 500 Acres land for Tata Nano project. Cities under consideration were Ropar, Nabah and Kapurthala. As per the statements made by Mr. Keval SIngh Dhillion, current Punjab Govt, is very much determined to improve the financial condition of the state and he also points out that if Tata NaNo project gets settled in Punjab, then umemployment will definitely be kicked out of teh state.
However,no officail announcement has been made, whether TATA NANO will remian in Bangal or not. But, it's appreant that if it happens, then, Punjab may have the honor to have this super project. Hope, Punjab's better future is not far away!
